Statistics – S.Stat.

Universitas Padjadjaran’s Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences offers an undergraduate study program in Statistics. Graduates of this program will attain the Sarjana Statistika (S.Stat.) title. The program has received the highest accreditation that is awarded by BAN-PT, that of A. The duration of the study is 8 semesters. The program is taught at the Jatinangor Campus in Sumedang.

Statistics is the study of data sampling, processing, presentation, and analysis, as well as data-based decision making. The Unpad Statistics program is designed to impart four main competencies onto its students. The competencies include Strong Basic Statistics, Excellent Soft Skill, Entrepreneurship, and Computation Skill.

Creativity, innovation, and adaptability contribute to a person’s professional competitiveness, alongside their competence. With that in mind, Universitas Padjadjaran’s undergraduate program in Statistics has developed seven specializations for the students to pursue. Said specializations are:

  1. Actuarial and Financial Statistics
  2. Biomedical Statistics
  3. Multivariate Statistics
  4. Regression and Time Series
  5. Categorical Data
  6. Operational Research, Experimental Research Design, and Quality Control
  7. Nonparametric Statistics

The study conducted at the program is supported by exceptional facilities, equipped with multimedia tools, libraries, computation laboratories for teaching and theses, and an English laboratory.
