Medicine – S.Ked.

Universitas Padjadjaran’s Faculty of Medicine offers an undergraduate study program in Medicine. Graduates of this program will attain the Sarjana Kedokteran (S.Ked.) title. The program has received the unggul accreditation from LAM-PTKes and an accreditation of A from BAN-PT, the highest grade given out by the two organizations. The duration of the study is 6 semesters. The program is taught at the Jatinangor Campus in Sumedang.

The program’s learning method utilizes Competency-Based Training principles, which includes both clinical competencies as well as public health management. The material taught cycles through the 16 departments of FK Unpad in 3 semesters. As this phase concludes, the students are expected to possess general competence as a medical practitioner.

The total amount of credits to be accumulated during the course of the program is 42½ credits (SKS). Afterwards, to strengthen the self-dependency of the students, they will commit to a 12 month long internship under the supervision of Komite Internsip Dokter Indonesia (KIPI).

After graduating from the Faculty of Medicine, passing the Ujian Kompetensi Dokter Indonesia (Indonesian Doctor’s Competency Test) as well as taking the oath which allows for medical practice, a graduate may be awarded the professional title of dokter (dr.).
