Universitas Padjadjaran’s Faculty of Agriculture offers an undergraduate study program in Agribusiness. Graduates of this program will attain the Sarjana Pertanian (S.P.) title. The program has received the A accreditation from BAN-PT, the national body of higher education accreditation in Indonesia. The duration of the study is 8 semesters. The program is taught at the Jatinangor Campus in Sumedang.
Unpad’s undergraduate Agribusiness program focuses on developing disruptive agribusiness models integrating inclusive, creative, innovative, ecologically friendly, and community-based agribusiness principles, corporate agribusiness adopting the triple helix, and penta helix schemes. The program also possesses three unique strengths in its field, the first of which is the integration of monodisciplinary, interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary, and transdisciplinary expertise. The second unique strength of the program is in its combination of scientific and practical knowledge, making the program’s instruction resemble those of co-vocational programs. The third strength is the program’s Business Enabling Environment, colloquially known as the BEDP program, which stands on 6 sequential pillars:
- Building a strong group will and morale (BEDP 0);
- Market segmentation and business planning (BEDP 1);
- Agribusiness entrepreneurship (BEDP 2),
- Agribusiness creations and innovation (BEDP 3);
- Development of the community, institutions, and leadership of rural areas and agriculture (BEDP 4);
- Agribusiness internships (BEDP 5);
- Research and development (BEDP 6).
