Education Sharing with Ajou University, South Korea and University of Skövde, Sweden

[Unpad.ac.id, 15/01/2013] The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), Unpad, in collaboration with the departments of Materials Science and Engineering, Ajou University, South Korea and University of Skövde, Sweden organized Education Sharing last Monday (14/10) in Bale Sawala Unpad Rectorate Building in Jatinangor.

Unpad and Ajou University have long established partnership programs, such as summer program and student exchange. The delegates from Ajou University admitted that Unpad students participating in the exchange programs belong to excellent students. “They have excellent qualities, not only in their respective disciplines but also in arts and cultural expertise. They performed outstandingly in the International Day.”

As for University of Skövde, according to Prof. Marcus, the university focuses on computer science, particularly computer game development. It hosts approximately 11000 students, some of whom are international students from 30 countries. However, there has yet to be exchange program with Unpad. “I believe some of you have not seen snow. Why don’t you come to Sweden, study in our university. We’re very close to the South Pole,” said he jokingly.

The education sharing is expected to result in learning collaboration among the three universities. According to Dr. med. Setiawan, the vice rector of student affairs, the event gives a clear depiction on how learning processes are carried out in each university. What’s more, it is to establish a strong joint collaboration among the three universities.
