Chairman of the Unpad COVID-19 Task Force Dr. med. Setiawan, Dr., explained, the application called “AMARI COVID-19 (COVID-19 Introspective Application) was developed following the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic in Indonesia. Not only as an early health monitor, this application is also to educate the public about the correct information about Coronavirus.

“There are two main concepts of this simple application, namely as a tool to recognize one’s own health condition and a medium for personal education, as well as the Post AMARI Response System, which is a follow-up response from the results of an introspective assessment,” said Dr. Setiawan.

Hopefully, this application can help control the panic that occurred in the community about this pandemic outbreak. Every individual can understand the great potential of a viral infection in each body. In addition, this application can be a link that connects individuals/families and the health care system during the Coronavirus outbreak.

This application is expected to be used by all parties, especially in West Java. Therefore, the West Java Development Institute (InJabar) of Unpad also supports and facilitates the development of this application. This was stated by the Director of Unpad InJabar Prof. Dr. Keri Lestari, M.Sc., Apt.

Prof. Keri explained, AMARI COVID-19 is a pilot project conducted by Unpad and Sumedang Regency. This application has been synchronized with the health system in Sumedang Regency, so that the community can be connected directly with the COVID-19 Prevention Team in Sumedang.

This application is in accordance with the concept of self distancing and prevents the accumulation of people in health facilities to check themselves. This is Unpad’s innovation for the people of West Java in overcoming the Covid-19 pandemic with a pilot project in Sumedang Regency, “said Prof. Keri Lestari.
