Three Geophysics Students of Unpad won silver medal and a number of awards at the 2018 Taiwan Innotech Expo (TIE) which was held in Taipei, Taiwan last September 27-29*

The innovation they exhibited, the Multi-Function Cooking Gloves, won a silver medal and a number of awards on the event.

Multi-Function Cooking Gloves are gloves that equipped with several functions, namely heat resistant, cut and stick resistant, waterproof, has components that can be removed, thumb and fish scissors.

“It looks so simple, but our products attract many visitors and get several business offers from trading and distribution companies in Taiwan,” said Dendri in a release received by Unpad PR.

In addition, they also received several special awards from China and Egypt.

“Not only the awards or medals we got, but also valuable experiences. By meeting and interacting with the international community, we also gained new knowledge and perspectives. Practicing promoting our products in English, as well as establishing connections with various global companies and professionals,” said Dendri.

Taiwan Innotech Expo is an exhibition of technological innovations followed by a number of academics and practitioners. This year, TIE was attended by 33 countries with more than 40 thousand visitors. The event was held by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council, supported and sponsored by the Taiwan government and a number of industrial companies from various countries. *
