Students from Faculty of Communication Science, Universitas Padjadjaran Won 1st and 3rd Place I-Bravery Competition in Telkom University

Six students of Faculty of Communication Sciences won the "I-Bravery 2017" event held by Student Association of Faculty Communication and Business, Telkom University in Tel-U Campus, Bandung on Tuesday (26/09). *

Six students from faculty of communications science, Universitas Padjadjaran won the championship on “I-Bravery 2017” which was held by Communications Studies Student’s Association Faculty of Communications and Business Telkom University (Tel-U) at the Tel-U campus, Bandung, Tuesday (26/09).

“I-Bravery” is a national competition in the field of Communication Science themed The New Media Restoration. In this competition, the six students were divided into two teams. The first team consisted of Marsha Fabiola (Ilkom), Nisrina Hanifah (Ilkom), and Dwi Arti Sugiarti (Ilkom), which were the members of the team “Langenmaita” won the 1st place in the category I-Solve.

Still in the same category, the second team consisted of Mutia Rifa Lutfita (D3 Public Relation), Dwina Apriliasari (D3 Public Relation), dan Risca Amelliya (D3 Public Relation) were the members of the team “Victorie” won 3rd place. This race category was one of the Public Relation Challenge contest in the event “I-Bravery 2017”.

Delivered in a release received by Unpad publicist, the I-Solve competition aims to challenge prospective Public Relation practitioners to be able to create a solution for misusing of contemporary media that have some propaganda potentials. The Solution is created to bring up tranquility when using the media.

The participants must pass two stages of the competition. In the first stage, the participants must send a creative proposal and business plan abstract about public relation planning program themed “With millenial turn on the peace”. Participants were asked to design an innovative and creative public relation program in the form of stories conveyed through various media. (transmedia storytelling)

After the first stage, the participants were selected into five teams to compete in the final stage. In the next stage, participants were challenged to present the public relation planning program that has been designed. Next, in the impromptu case session, participants were challenged again to compose a public relation planning program in fifteen minutes.

“Langenmaita” carried a program called “Skinny Suryani” and “Victorie” carried a program called “Prakarsa Sama Rasa”. Both teams were thankful on winning the “I-Bravery 2017” competition.
