[Unpad.ac.id, 2/12/2016] State University as Legal Entity institution preparatory team from Universitas Sebelas Maret, Surakarta conducted a comparative study to Universitas Padjadjaran, Jatinangor, Friday (2/12). The visit was to learn about preparing for the change of status into State University as Legal Entity.
“We want to learn from Univeritas Padjadjaran as a State University as Legal Entity as well as the coordinator for four institutions phase 2. UNS, on the other hand, has received instruction from the minister to set up a legal-based institution,” said Coordinator of the Legal-based educational institution preparatory team from Universitas Sebelas Maret, Dr. Drajat Tri Kartono, M.Si when met after the event.
Fro this preparation, UNS has initiated to learn from Unpad, including on organisational structure for working procedures. From the visit, Dr. Drajat and the team agreed that Unpad had a remarkable spirit in making changes.
“We have seen conviction among the Unpad officials that a bureaucratic reform is a necessity for world class university status.,” said Dr. Drajat, who was also Advisor to the Rector of UNS.
Besides Dr. Drajat, the UNS team includes Dr. Andre Noevi Rahmanto, S. Sos., M.Sc., Dr. Isharyanto, S.H., M. Hum, and Prehatin Agus Setyasih Merdyawati, S. Sos.
Presentation on Unpad as legal-based educational institution was conducted by the Vice Rector for Governance, Planning, and Information Systems Dr. Sigid Suseno, SH., M. Hum. The preparations include the establishment of the team and the preparation of documents.
Also present to welcome the visit were Director of Governance and Public Communications/Head of International Office, Ade Kadarisman, S. Sos., MT, M.Sc., and Secretary of the Directorate of Governance and Public Communications/Head of International Office, Slamet Suprapto, S .Sos., M.Sc. *
