PR Students Unpad Won Third Place in PR Indonesia Rookie Stars Competition 2016

[Unpad.ac.id, 13/10/2016] Two students of Study Program Public Relation Hubungan Masyarakat Fikom Universitas Padjadjaran, Eny Ratnasari and Karina Zalfa Firdausi, won third place in “PR Indonesia Rookie Stars Competition 2016” held by PR Indonesia Magazine in Yogyakarta, 4-6 October.

The competition that was held as part of the series of Jamboree Media and PR Indonesia (Jammpiro) was a Public Relations campaign competition level of Communication Science Students at various universities throughout Indonesia. The competition aimed to establish a new public relations regeneration that is ready to work and contribute to the nation. This year, students are challenged to publicize their campus by making Public Relations campaign proposal with the theme “Towards a World Class University”.

In a press release received by PR Unpad, Eny and Karina put forward the theme of the lack of public pride and sense of belonging for Unpad. The project campaign was titled ” PassiONEd: Towards One Vision with Love for One Unpad”. In the project, Eny and Karina wanted to realize the Unpad vision as a world-class university through a series of integrated activities.

The first winner of this competition was the team from the University of Atmajaya Yogyakarta. Meanwhile second prize went for team from the University of Indonesia.

In particular, Asmono as the Founder and CEO of PR INDONESIA Magazine and Executive Director of United Company Press (SPS) Center said that the focus Magazine PR INDONESIA is to prepare and encourage continuous regeneration of PR in Indonesia.

“PR Indonesia Rookie Stars is the way we chose to create and prepare a PR regeneration in Indonesia. In order to avoid gaps in every generation,” he explained.

Although regeneration is a natural thing, but the PR INDONESIA magazine believed it is fundamental that must be prepared for best result. Therefore, the appreciation must be given to every character in every generation that shows the work and superior performance in the development of Indonesian public relations world.*
