[Unpad.ac.id, 4/10/2016] Landslide and flash flood in Garut Regency Wednesday (21/09/2016) raises many sympathetic actions of various parties. As evidence of concern for others, Electrical Engineering Student Association (HMTE), Universitas Padjadjaran helped raise donations for disaster victims in Garut.
Several areas that become flooded included regions of Tarogong Selatan, Tarogong Kaler, Banyuresmi, Karangpawitan, and Bayongbong. As a result the disaster has killed at least 33 people dead and 20 people are still missing.
Prior to this action, HMTE FMIPA Unpad conducted fundraising starting Friday (23/09/2016). HMTE Unpad was also receiving items as donation such as clothing, food, and school supplies. Donors are not only from Electrical Engineering Padjadjaran, but anyone could also contributed to Unpad. All aid are collected and brought together by students HMTE member Unpad to Garut.
Donations from HMTE Unpad was handed over on Friday (30/09). The assistance was received directly by officers in Command Post Disaster Flood Field Garut, located in Paris, Road Development, RS. Dr Slamet, Garut, West Java. *
