The Thailand’s Ministry of Tourism and Sports through Indonesian Student Union in Thailand facilitated by the Indonesian Embassy in Bangkok officially invited six students from the Agricultural Industry Technology of Faculty of Agricultural Industry Technologies (FTIP) and members of Komunitas Kreatif Jatinangor (Jatinangor’s Creative Community). They are invited to promote uniqueness of cultural, educational, and tourism activities of ASEAN countries through performances, exhibitions, outbound programs, and cultural shows as media for cultural exchanges in the region. Through the event, it was expected to develop competitiveness and innovations in promoting tourism in ASEAN and all over the world.
The technopreneurship-based curriculum developed in the Faculty had been fully supported by the University through Hibah Unggulan Program Studi (HUPS), a grant for Study Program improvements, as well as by other organizations and institutions. This curriculum is projected to encourage integrated programs that combine learning, research, and community service with student activities that aim to graduate technopreneurs, local enablers, creative leaders, and design thinkers.

Such character in the curriculum that focused on social engineering with technologies and academic aspects would result in a new generation of technology-based entrepreneurs.

He also appreciated the social engineering initiative that would bring impacts on the University and the society. One of the indicators of the success is the emergence of technology-based products that empower the local communities and its role and collaborative center for other disciplines and other parties. This achievement may also be indicated from international recognition for this curriculum; one of which is the invitation for ARFP 2016 in Thailand for two weeks with full accommodation provided by the Kingdom of Thailand.

The eight Unpad delegates are Arip Rahman Jaya, Moehammad Fauzi, Laisa Runggu Yerike Aritonang, Belladina Anggun Kinanti, and Nabilla Saptaryana Martha who were selected for their notable role in encouraging entrepreneurship under the advisory of FTIP Unpad lecturer, Dr. Dwi Purnomo. The delegation is accompanied by Aryanita Sembiring and Arina Qonita, Unpad alumni from Forum Kreatif Jatinangor and The Local Enablers, a group initiated by Unpad to support entrepreneurship ecosystem in Jatinangor.

They will show, introduce, and promote a number of activities related to the community growing process and present Indonesian culture to the other ASEAN and international delegates. They also will take part in the celebration of 70th commemoration of His Royal Highness King Acession ascending the throne as well as the opening ceremony of the festival and visits to tourist and historical attractions in Thailand. *
