[Unpad.ac.id, 21/07/2016] Vice Rector for Governance and Resources Universitas Padjadjaran, Dr. Sigid Suseno, S.H., M.Hum., inaugurated new building of Faculty of Nursing in Jatinangor Campus, Thursday (21/07). The inauguration was conducted also with Silaturahmi Idul Fitri 1437 H Gathering of FKep Unpad.
The inauguration was marked by tumpeng ceremony by Dr. Sigid symbolically handed to Dean of Fkep Unpad, Kusman Ibrahim, S.Kp., M.Ners, PhD. The event was also attended by the first Head of Program Study of Nursing in Unpad Hj. Suharyati, Dra., M.Kes., Dean of Fkep Unpad 2009 – 2013, Mamat Lukman, M.Si., Head of Project Management Unit (PMU) IDB Unpad, Prof. Benny Joy, representatives of Director Board of RSHS Bandung, and leadership, lecturers, and educational staffs of Fkep Unpad.
Kusman said that the new Fkep building consists of three buildings, 2 three-story building and 1 two-story builidng. These three building will be used mainly for administrative activity and lecturer and educational staffs office.
“This is based on the sharing resources program by the unviersity,” said Kusman.
Through sharing resources program, Kusman continued, learning activities are not only conducted in Fkep campus but they, along with laboratory practice, could use all the building and laboratories in all Unpad facilities. Other students from other faculties could also use the buildings in Fkep.
Establishment of a new building in Faculty of Nursing has taken a long process. Kusman said that the new building is building that was built on full funding of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), which had been ongoing since 2005.
After several rounds of revision, until 2011 IDB project at Unpad was finally signed by the team of evaluators. The project includes the construction of 18 lecture buildings, a central lab, and a library on campus Jatinangor. The construction was started in October 2014 with contractor PT. Housing Development (PP).
On the occasion, Dr. Sigid also hoped that new buildingof Nursing Faculty Unpad can be optimized as part of program of community on campus Unpad Jatinangor. “Hopefully, this building can be optimized to develop a variety of activities Tridharma Universitas,” said Dr. Sigid.
The new building is located between Nursing Faculty campus of the Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Psychology. Earlier, the office activities and lectures in a building located between the campus of the Faculty of Humanities and Faculty of Communication.*
