Discussing Follow Up of Unpad-BCE, Rector Unpad Met Minister of SOE

[Unpad.ac.id, 1/07/2016] Rector Universitas Padjadjaran Prof. Tri Hanggono Achmad and several of Unpad Leadership and the Director of Unpad-BUMN Center of Excellence (BCE) Prof. Ernie Trisnawati Sule, conducted a meeting with Minister of SOE RI, Rini Soemarno. The meeting was conducted in Ministry of SOE office room in The Office of Ministry of SOE, Jln. Medan Merdeka Selatan No. 13, Jakarta.

During the meeting, Rector discussed the follow-up of the development of the activity of Unpad BCE. After inaugurated on May 9, Unpad BCE has three main focus of activity, namely: center of collaboration, centers of learning, and centers of study. These three activities are integrated with data center and information Unpad-BCE.

“Some of these activities have already started,” said Rector.

Rector said that based on results from a consolidation meeting, SOE leaders have agreed with data center and information SOEs at Unpad-BCE. The challenge now is how state companies in Indonesia are actively involved in supporting data.

Data center development and information is the target of the first phase of work done by Unpad-BCE. The data center has become the basic architecture of Unpad-BCE to provide various data and information of SOEs and to be able to provide knowledge management systems that integrate various internal academic studies of SOEs in Unpad. The data and information center is expected to be completed during the month, starting from the launch of Unpad-BCE.

“The data center, later in real time, could provide data growth significantly, as well as how the response from the public,” said Rector.

As a follow up, said Rector, Unpad will also invite academics from other universities to consolidate the data centers and the development of this information. “Anyone who will provide input through the data center and information. So experts in Indonesia could give input, “said Rector.

Meanwhile. Rini also appreciated the variety of activities undertaken by Unpad-BCE to support capacity building in state-owned enterprises in Indonesia. It also will encourage the leaders of state-owned enterprises to provide data to support the activities of such data and information centers.
