Hundreds Participated in Entrepreneurship Workshop of Kemenpora and Unpad

[Unpad.ac.id, 30/05/2016] Ministry of Youth and Sports Indonesia collaborated with Agriculture Industrial Technology Department Faculty of Agriculture Industrial Technology Universitas Padjadjaran on seminar and youth entrepreneurship with theme Creative Leadership Skills for Young Entrepreneurs in PSBJ Hall Unpad, Tuesday (24/5).

Seminar and Youth Entrepreneur Workshop with theme “Creative Leadership Skills for Young Entrepreneurs” in PSBJ Hall Unpad, Tuesday (24/5). *

The event was opened by Director of Innovation and Business Development Unpad, Prof. Dr Tualar Simarmata, and featured as speakers of Deputy of Youth Development Kemenpora RI Dr.H. Sakhyan Asmara, MSP., Assistant of Deputy of Youth Entrepreneurship Kemenpora Dr. Ponijan, MPd., Regent of Tasikmalaya Uu Ruzhanul Ulum, lecturer of Faculty of Economics and Business Unpad, Popy Rufaidah, Ph.D., Dean of School of Business & Management ITB Prof. Dr Sudarso Kaderi, and Chairman of the Youth Entrepreneurship Forum Bandung, Dea Arianti.

This event was attended by 600 students and young people. The workshop was hosted by the creative community fostered by Forum for Creative Padjadjaran University and The Local Enablers. Workshop was held to provide young people technical skills and ways of thinking in the development of its business.

Dr. Satrija representing the Deputy Business Development said that entrepreneurship could be a major pillar of youth development. Entrepreneurship is the main attraction in which youth could become the motor of the nation’s progress. Meanwhile, Regent of Tasikmalaya, Uu Ruzhanul Ulum expressed his hope that the youth are also able to contribute positively to the development of rural development. Currently, for example, Tasikmalaya focused on rural development with youth involvement to generate local potential. Youth are encouraged to be actively involved in the development of local commodities with added value and broad impact for the community.

IMG_7595Popy Rufaidah, PhD., presented a variety of tips and tricks on business development through introduction of market potential and skills of marketing and branding so that products can enter youth market and ensure its continuity. Dean of SBM ITB, Prof Dr. Sudarso Kaderi, appreciated the process of formation of youth entrepreneurship done with creative approaches of youth. His explanation entwined closely with development of techno that is aligned with the generation of science and technology requested in the neighborhood youth.

Totok Pujianto, Ir., MT, as the Head of the Department of Industrial Technology of Agriculture (TIN UNPAD) appreciated the invitation of Kemenpora in organizing seminars and workshops because it is strongly associated with an effort TIN Unpad to become a Centre of Excellence in Technopreneurship and Small and Medium Enterprises. In addition, TIN Unpad through one of the teaching staff, Dr. Dwi Purnomo, STP, MT., was a champion with entrepreneurship in national level of the Ministry of Youth and Sports RI 2015. Universitas Padjadjaran University itself has a strong commitment in facilitating youth to become the motor of entrepreneurship.

This event was fully supported and attended by Professor of Faculty of Agricultural Industrial Technology, Prof. Dr. Ir. Roni Kastaman, MSIE., who on the occasion said that the cooperative effort between Unpad, Ministry of Youth and Sports, and Tasikmalaya regency government will be followed by various entrepreneurship development activities mainly based local commodities especially Tasikmalaya regency.

The workshop was divided into several parts, namely Idea Generating, Generating Key Partnership, Business Model Canvas, Empathy and Customer Journey Map. During the workshop hosted by Community Forum Creative Jatinangor and The Local Enablers, the participants with great enthusiasm simulated how the creation of ideas, build partnerships, explore the standpoint costumer through empathy folder, and poured it into the customer journey and to develop the business model canvas in accordance with their business. *
