[Unpad.ac.id, 7/04/2016] Rektor Universitas Padjadjaran Prof. Tri Hanggono Achmad accepted visit from leaders of TVRI Station West Java in Rectorate Room Unpad, Jalan Dipati Ukur No. 35, Bandung, Thursday (7/04). The visit was conducted in relation of discussion of further partnership between Unpad and TVRI Jabar.
On the visit were Head of Station TVRI Jabar Riyanto Budi Rahardjo, Coordinator of Coverage TVRI Jabar Oka Sayuti, and leaders of TVRI Jabar. Aside from Rector, from Unpad were Director of Governance and Public Communication Dr. Soni A. Nulhaqim, S.Sos., M.Si., Dean of Faculty of Communication Science Unpad Dr. Dadang Rahmat Hidayat, S.Sos., S.H., M.Si., and lecturers from Fikom Unpad.
Riyanto said that TVRI Jabar has been working in many collaborations with Unpad, by requesting experts in Unpad to be speaker in various television programs, or coverage in events held in Unpad. Therefore Riyanto hoped to do further collaboration with Unpad in other fields.
The latest collaboration was inviting experts as guest speakers at Padjadjaran video documentary about Geopark Ciletuh, Sukabumi. “We saw a lot of potentials from Universitas Padjadjaran. We wanted to explore these potentials, “said Oka.
In response to the collaboration plan, Rector said that the plan was inline with Pentahelix concept initiated by Unpad. Media became an important element in improving the quality of Tridharma Unpad, of teaching, research, and community service.
As a government agency in West Java, Unpad and TVRI possessed strategic role to promote area development in West Java. “Together with TVRI Jabar we wan to explore various potentials of Unpad and West Java in order to bring a more powerful impact to the community.”
Meanwhile the idea of further collaboration of Unpad and TVRI Jabar, according to Dr. Dadang, was focused on improving academic activity. Dr. Dadang hoped that TVRI Jabar could provide a variety of training in the field of broadcasting, and could conduct collaborative research on particular topics. Another developed collaboration plan is cooperation in the field of content development.*
