[Unpad.ac.id, 29/03/2016] Universitas Padjadjaran collaborated with PT. Layar Mardi (Layaria Network) in utilization of information technology to support learning on campus. This cooperation is realized through direct signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Unpad with Layaria Network.
The signing event of Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs Dr. Arry Bainus, M.A., with CEO Dennis Adhiswara Layaria Network, was held during Yamaha Online Video Workshop, in Auditorium Pascasarjana Fikom Unpad, Tuesday (29/03).
In addition to MoU, the collaboration with Layaria Network also marked by the signing of the Collaboration Agreement by Director of Education Unpad Prof. Dr. Budi Setiabudiawan, dr., Sp.A-K., Kes., with Dennis. Also attending the event were Vice Dean of Faculty of Communication Science Unpad Dr. Dadang Sugiana, drs., M.Sc., and Head of Academic Administration Bureau Unpad Drs. Sudarma, M.M.
During the event, Dr. Arry said that advances in information technology needed to be applied to university learning. In today’s era of information society operates with networking logic, in which current information technology has greatly altered the life of the system, including higher education culture.
“Nowadays students are spoiled with free information. Students need to be more creative and innovative, “said Dr. Arry.
With the advances in information technology, lecture system would become more flexible. Dr. Arry said that lectures are no longer conducted conventionally, but can also be done online. This system will be developed by Unpad in collaboration with Layaria Network.
In general, this collaboration will focus on the use of online video-making technology to improve productivity, efficiency, and quality of teaching and learning in Unpad. In addition, the collaboration also involved using Layaria Network studio to support the learning process of students.
Layaria Network is a creative company engaged in creative medium of online video. Established in 2012, Layaria aims to enhance creativity online video in Indonesia as well as bridging Youtube platform.
“We hope Layaria can be a forum for local talent to engage in creative media online video in Indonesia,” said Dennis.
The “Yamaha Online Video Workshop” also included talk show featuring creative media actors in Indonesia, Dennis Adhiswara, Eno Bening, and Minyo.*
