e-Office Application Reflecting Unpad Principal Scientific Pattern

[Unpad.ac.id, 29/03/2016] After the technical guidance for officials and Head of Sections and Subdivision in Unpad, Technical Guidance for Application of E-Office was also held for Head of Program Study, Head of Department, Head of Quality Assurance Unit, Head of Libraries, Head of Laboratory/Studio, and Head of Study Center in Unpad March 29-30 in Unpad Basic Science Service Center Building Jatinangor campus.

Director of Governance and Public Communication Unpad Dr. Soni A. Nulhaqim, S. Sos., M.Si., said that, e-office applications is to be implemented by all academic community and educators of Universitas Padjadjaran.

“Through the guidance held now, if Prodi and departments could understand and implement this e-office, service would be faster with zero percent error rate,” said Dr. Soni during the guidance implementation , Tuesday (29/03).

As reported previously, e-office is an office-based online administration system that has been applied by Universitas Padjadjaran in early 2016. The system is expected to improve the speed of office administration systems with minimal error rates, as well as to improve the quality of service in Unpad.

Dr. Soni further said that e-office services is reflecting Unpad Principal Scientific Pattern “Bina Mulia Law and Environment”. From the environmental aspect, e-office services is to minimize the use of paper.

“Paper is made from trees. If you use a lot of paper, then this will affect the environmental ecosystem, “he said.

From legal standpoint, e-office has been confirmed by the Rector Regulation No. 1 Year 2016 re Electronic Office Systems in Unpad, and Rector Regulation No. 2 Year 2016 re Official Scripts and Code Letters. “This reflects the certainty of law,” he added.

Based on the Rector regulation, Dr. Soni said that e-office should be effectively implemented by the end of March. Therefore, implementation of e-office will be evaluated by relevant team at the end of March. The evaluation is to determine whether e-office application at Unpad is appropriate or not.

E-office socialization and guidance would also applied to student of student body in university and faculty. “We will be doing that in April,” said Dr. Soni.*
