Dharma Wanita Persatuan Unpad Helped Flood Victims in Dayeuhkolot Village Bandung Regency

[Unpad.ac.id, 22/03/2016] Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) Universitas Padjadjaran visited flood victims in the village Dayeuhkolot Bandung regency. The aid was handed over to the Dayeuhkolot village chief, Yayan Sutiana, several Head of Elementary School, Saudara Sejiwa Foundation that focused on early childhood education, and communities at the village office Dayeuhkolot, Bandung regency, on Tuesday (22/03).

Attending in the event is Head of DWP Universitas Padjadjaran, Tina Tri Hanggono Achmad and Padjadjaran DWP board and members, as well as Vice Rector for Research, Community Services, Cooperation, Innovation, and Business, Dr. Keri Lestari, Ssi., MSi., Apt. The aid included washing machines, cleaning tools, daily necessities, school uniforms, medicines, etc.

Unpad concern is not only about the aid, but together with Bandung Regency government Unpad has also prepared a long-term program to overcome the flood situation,” said Dr. Keri Lestari.

The Head of DWP, Universitas Padjadjaran, Tina Tri Hanggono Achmad said that the aid was a form of a concern of DWP Unpad and Family of Unpad of the flood affected people in Dayeuhkolot. “Not to be seen by the quantity, we sincerity hope to help the society,” she said.

Meanwhile the village chief of Dayeuhkolot, Yayan Sutiana, welcomed such assistance. “This aid is not only for rural communities, but also for the four elementary schools in the region. That is why we also asked principals to receive direct aid, “Yayan said. *
