[Unpad.ac.id, 25/01/2016] Work programs cannot be completed without coordination with various elements within the organization, as well as cooperation with other parties. Coordination and synergy are key to the successful implementation of the program.
Rector Universitas Padjadjaran, Prof. Tri Hanggono Achmad, has said during briefing for meeting of Administrative Heads of Universitas Padjadjaran in Garut, Sunday (24/01). The meeting was attended by Head of Bureau, Head of Division, Head of Subdivision, and also Vice Rectors and Directors of Unpad, and held for two days.
“One of the great challenges of our time is coordination. We must strengthen it because conducting any activity without links and cooperation with other parties will be impossible, “said Rector.
To the education staff who attended the meeting, Rector mentioned that their main task is to fully support programs that have been determined by Unpad. It would require good coordination and synergy between units, between faculty, between lecturers and staff, among all the elements in Unpad, and synergy with other parties.
“The advance points of universities lie in research and in academic strength. The keys are held by professors who currently holding the Academic Leadership Grant (ALG) program. Now, let’s support the professors. We can also need to emphasize that students shall not need to wait to convey their needs. Before any complains, we need to be able to provide, “said Rector.
ALG is innovative research strengthening with orientation and impact toward Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Expected results from the ALG program are growing number of reputable international publications, growing number of Intellectual Property Rights, increase of downstream research, and increase of research cooperation with other parties.
Meanwhile Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs Dr. Arry Bainus, MA., in his speech said that every program and activity must refer to vision and mission of Universitas Padjadjaran and in accordance with Rector work plan. Unpad Vision for period of 2015-2019 is “To Be Research and Competitive Regional University”. While general mission of Universitas Padjadjaran is to conduct Tridharma university, to be internationally competitive higher education institution and relevant with user demands, to organize management of professional and accountable higher education, and to establish academic that uphold local and national human nobleness in world’s cultural diversity.
“Each of program and activity must promote principles of coordination, synergy and integration between work units in order to create teamwork among each unit and inter-unit. In addition, every decision on program and budgeting is done only by leaders including Rector, Vice Rector and Director, and not by executives referring to inter-unit work coordination, “said Dr. Arry Bainus. *
