Visit Unpad Booth at 25th Education and Training Expo 2016 at Jakarta Convention Center

[Unpad.ac.id, 28/01/2016] Closing in to the new admissions process of National Selection Entrance State University (SNMPTN), Universitas Padjadjaran is trying to improve information dissemination about format of new admissions in Unpad including course-study program at Universitas Padjadjaran. Therefore, Universitas Padjadjaran is participating in the 25th exhibition of Education and Training Expo 2016 in Hall B Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta. The exhibition is held from Wednesday (26/1) to Saturday (30/1).

In order to introduce Universitas Padjadjaran, Public Relations and Protocol Division is presenting variety of information about the new admissions process and displaying various infographics of Unpad profile and achievements.

More than 125 booths from various public and private universities in Indonesia along with a number of higher education institutions from abroad, such as from Malaysia and Russia, participates in this event. Moreover, there are also booths from Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education and Education Office of Jakarta Province.

Head of Public Communication Cooperation Bureau from Ministry of Research and Technology, Ir. Darmiyanti Nada S. Marsudi, M. Phil., during the opening of the exhibition said that the exhibition is very helpful for high school graduates in obtaining information about the their next level of education in university.

“The number of educational institutions participating in this exhibition indicates that the public shows concern for the development of higher education,” he said.

He hopes that with the increasing number of young people continuing their education to a higher level, it will encourage a wide range of innovations that can bring better welfare for people of Indonesia.

Students from different high schools at around Greater Jakarta attended this event. In addition to only collecting information through the booths, they also participate in various activities such as talk shows and educational presentations and various quizzes. On the first day of the exhibition, more than 1,000 people participated.

Visitors’ excitement, especially high school students of class XII regarding information about Unpad is evident from the number of visitors of Unpad Booth, especially regarding the news that Unpad is offering free tuition for new student of Faculty of Medicine. It did further increase their interest to continue their studies at Universitas Padjadjaran.

A visitor, Siti Fatimah students of SMAN 20 Jakarta, explained her interest in Universitas Padjadjaran, in particular to study Japanese literature. According to her Japanese Literature Unpad has very good potential, especially with the regular student exchange program. “I am interested in studying Japanese literature and hope to be accepted in Japanese Literature Unpad,” she said. *
