[Unpad.ac.id, 13/12/2013] As many as 114 Unpad students under Bidikmisi Program 2013 received training on motivation, creativity and self-development in Pondok Lembang, Maribaya Lembang, on Wednesday and Thursday (11—12/12). They were taught many aspects of innovation and creativity, and encouraged to take part in student competition event (Mawapres), creativity week (PKM), and student entrepreneurship program (PMW) by trainers and motivators, among whom were Hery Wibowo, Maulana Irfan, Dr. Iman Hernaman, Ir. Marsetyo, Dr. Dudi Heryadi, and Dr. Dharmawan.
Aris Muda, one of the participants from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA), admitted that the training had given him so many great ideas that now he found it rather difficult to determine which ideas to be implemented first. Aziz Muslim, a student at the faculty of communication sciences (FIKOM), gave similar response and stressed the importance obtaining information.
Besides valuable knowledge, the training also enabled the students to build networks. “I was impressed with one of the team-building game taught at the training which necessitated us in groups to imitate free objects by using gestures. It required a lot of coordination,” said Muhammad Syafarudin from the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science (FPIK).
According to the head of Unpad student division, Dadang Abdurahim, the program was organized to get the students to be academically active and to have the competence for self development.
