[Unpad.ac.id, 1/10/2013] Unpad Student activity units Sadaluhung Padjadjaran Drum Corps (SPDC) won the first position of General Brass Ensemble at Bandung Marching Band Championship (BMBC) IV on Saturday (28/9). This international tournament was held at the gymnasium of Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, Bandung.
Bandung Marching Band Championship is marching band championship organized by Yayasan Grand Prix Marching Band, Drum Corps Europe, Marching Band of Indonesia, and local government of Bandung. This championship was participated by drum corps, marching band, and drum band from various provinces in Indonesia, along with a marching band from Thailand.
SPDC Unpad competed in Brass Ensemble and Drum battle categories, in which the competed with strong teams such as Atma Jaya Marching Band from Yogyakarta, UPN Veteran from Yogyakarta, Locomotive Drum Corps of PT. KAI Bandung (Indonesian Railway Company).
Brass Ensemble team of SPDC Unpad is trained by Fazlur Rahman and consisted of Trumpet, Mellophone, Barritone and Tuba players. Trumpet players consist of Moch. Saeful Rizky, Annisa Nur Arifiani and Hikmani Tri Ekasari. Mellophone players consist of Zuraeda Earth, Desy Alfairianti, Kartika and Syahrial Ananta. Barritone players consist of Deri Rusfian Vickri, Sisca Ayu Puspita, Muhamad Luthfi Abdillah as well as Thoriq Azmi on Tuba.
Meanwhile, in Drum Battle category, SPDC Unpad competed with Dynamic Knight from Bogor, Aliansi SMP PGRI 1 Bekasi, Gipang Percussion from Cilegon, Bina Musika Marching Band from Medan, Locomotive Drum Corps of PT. KAI Bandung (Indonesian Railway company), Bahana Putra Sudirman Marching Band from Purwokerto, Beatenzorg from Bogor, and Udomsuksa Marching Band from Thailand. Sadaluhung Padjadjaran Drum Corps ranked at sixth place in this category.
Drum Battle team of SPDC Unpad is coached by Bob Harya Nugraha, Rico Verdian, Joeniar Rasmawan Prapto Eco Sunoto and consisted of Tom, Snare, Cymbals, Bass drum players. Tom players are Rico Verdian and Rizky Maulana. Snare players consists of Muhammad Fauzi, Trisnawan, and Dika. Cymbals players consist of Dudi Herdian, Bayu, Alin, Dita Adhianty. Bass Drum players consists Fadhilah, Andika, Tanty Permatasari, Fifi Feby Yanti, and Eka Nurfitryani Nathiqo.*
