Unpad has been appointed at least 6 times by DIKTI as one of the many universities in Indonesia in which internship program is held. The rector, when welcoming the interns, hoped that the program would become a medium where academicians can share thoughts and gain excellent knowledge. The interns will take part in a number of teaching, research and community activities in both faculty and university levels.

The head of Learning Sub-division of the Bureau of Learning and Student Affairs Unpad, Yuyun Wahyuningsih said that the interns would be involved in Unpad units, such as work unit in the office of Vice Rector I to IV, bureaus, and divisions.

Mohammad Solihin, an intern from Universitas Sunan Giri Surabaya, said that his participation in the program aimed to enrich his horizon on the three duties of higher education, particularly on research and community service.

‘I have yet to know a lot about the three duties of higher education. Therefore, I feel the need to take part in this, be given training and guided in order for us to become excellent lecturers,” said he.
