Unpad Student’s Protocol Corps (KPM) Shares with Usahid Jakarta on Protocol Goes to Campus 2012

[Unpad.ac.id, 12/12/2012] To better understand the protocol rules, Unpad Student’s Protocol Corps (KPM) organizes visits to several universities in Indonesia under an event called ‘Protocol Goes to Campus (PGTC) 2012.” The latest visit was to Universitas Sahid (Usahid) in Jakarta on Monday (10/12), accompanied by Fakhrudi Akbar, the expert staff of student development and alumni affairs.

The event was attended by representatives from student executive bodies and students taking the course Master of Ceremony (MC) and Protocols from the Diploma Program, Faculty of Communication Science, Usahid. Also present were the vice rector III Usahid, Bernard Hasibuan, the marketing director Usahid, Listiyono Setyo Pratignyo, the director of cooperation and student affairs Usahid, Nurul Haniza, and the Public relation head Usahid, Sri Prapti F Nursanti.

The event was officially opened by Bernard Hasibuan, explaining about the protocols in his university. In his explanation, he admitted that students were not really involved in the university’s protocol for it is mostly done by the rector staff members.

KPM Unpad had their turn explaining several presentation topics on the establishment of KPM Unpad, achievement, vision and mission, and networks that the corps has previously built. In addition, KPM Unpad also explained briefly about the protocols of the state, the Republic of Indonesia, and the responsibilities of KPM in relation to commencement ceremonies. Details such as organization structure, outfits, and equipment were also given. The event also included simulation in which students are given the opportunity to serve as a master of ceremony.

Bernard Hasibuan had high hope that strong partnership can always be maintained and visits be returned. “Hopefully, in the near future, we can go pay a visit to Unpad,” he concluded.
